ABOUT CAROL

Carol is a D.C. native who owns too many books, loves the White Sox, has a crush on the Beastie Boys, and can't get enough of a spirited debate. She also feels very strongly that everyone should use the Oxford comma. Carol recently relocated to Los Angeles after graduating from Illinois State University with a degree in Acting and a focus in Theatre Management. In addition to her acting experience, she was the president of Freestage (an organization that mounts full-scale theatrical festivals twice yearly). She has also spent two years working in a theatrical prop shop. As an accomplished pianist, Carol has extensive experience as an accompanist. She is also fluent in German.

Career Aspirations

Carol has played a wide range of parts in her career as an actor, but has a particular interest in works that have darker themes, with a modern and irreverent take. "Fleabag," "The Death of Stalin," the play "Hand to God," and the works of Martin McDonagh such as "The Pillow Man," all come to mind. She wants to produce her own horror plays, as she believes it is an under-explored genre in the theatre. Carol is also very interested in Shakespeare, both traditional and modernized. Her ultimate career goal is to open a theatre company, specifically one that caters to people who can't usually afford to attend.
